These cells come in standard ranges up to 3000 kN, with center-hole designs that slide onto most threadbar sizes. Custom ranges and cable lengths are routine. If your site calls for IP68-rated seals or submersible connectors, we build that into the cell before it leaves the factory.

Because we manufacture in-house, you can request special modifications: a smaller outside diameter for tight drill holes, a higher safe overload rating, or dual bridges for redundancy on critical monitoring jobs. Common technical questions

What is the typical accuracy of your tension load cells?

Most standard cells leave our factory with a combined error band of ±0.25% to ±0.5% of full scale, depending on range. That includes nonlinearity, hysteresis, and repeatability. Custom cells can be tuned tighter if your application needs it.

Can I use these cells underwater or in boreholes?

Our submersible versions come with welded stainless steel housings and double-sealed cable exits rated to IP68. We can supply up to 500 meters of vented cable, but you’ll need to specify the depth and waterproofing requirements before ordering.

Do you offer tension load cells with center holes, and what are the common sizes?

Yes, center-hole models are our most common configuration for anchor testing. Standard bore diameters range from 25 mm to 130 mm, matching typical threadbars and DYWIDAG bar sizes. If your bar is an odd size, we can machine the center hole to your measurement.

How do I calibrate the load cell on site, or do I need to return it for calibration?

Each cell is delivered with its own calibration sheet. If you have a calibrated proving ring or loading frame, you can check it on site. For formal recalibration, we recommend sending it back to us or a local accredited lab every 12–18 months, depending on use.

What kind of output signal is easiest to integrate with my existing data acquisition system?

Most contractors go with the 4–20 mA output because it’s simple to troubleshoot over long cable runs. We also offer mV/V for direct strain readings if your datalogger has a bridge input, and RS485 for digital setups. We can advise on which one works best with your specific logger model.
