If it rotates or gets hit by wind or traffic, someone has probably strapped one of our accelerometers to it.
How do I choose the right sensitivity for my application?
Start with the vibration level you expect. For general machinery, 100 mV/g covers most cases. If you’re measuring very low g levels—like on a precision spindle—go higher, up to 500 mV/g. For high-vibration environments like a crusher, a lower sensitivity like 10 mV/g prevents the signal from clipping. We can help you match the sensor to your DAQ system’s input range.
Can these accelerometers handle hazardous or wet environments?
Most models are rated IP67 or IP68, so they handle washdowns and outdoor rain without extra boots.
